In Embroidery Studio (“Studio”) is operated by In Embroidery. This policy explains what we collect on studio.inembroidery.com, how we use it, and your choices. Our main store at inembroidery.com has its own policies where applicable.
1. Information we collect
- Account data — name, email, password (hashed), role (customer, digitizer, admin), and profile details you provide.
- Job & marketplace data — artwork, embroidery files, quotes, messages, ratings, and payment-related records processed through our platform.
- Tool usage — files you upload for Fix, Files, Quote, or Digitize tools; diagnostic inputs; and usage counters for fair-use limits.
- Support requests — information you submit on our contact form.
- Technical data — IP address, browser type, timestamps, and security logs (rate limits, spam prevention).
2. How we use information
- Provide Studio tools, marketplace matching, payouts, and customer support.
- Send transactional email (verification, job updates, support confirmations) via our mail provider.
- Process payments through Stripe when you purchase digitizing packages or fund jobs.
- Prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access (honeypots, rate limits, optional CAPTCHA).
- Improve reliability and comply with legal obligations.
3. File retention
Uploaded files for free Studio tools may be deleted automatically after a limited retention period (see usage banner on the home page). Paid marketplace deliverables are retained per job terms and digitizer handoff requirements. Do not upload data you are not authorized to share.
4. Sharing with third parties
- Digitizers — when you post a job or contact a digitizer, relevant project details are shared with the assigned professional.
- Payment processors — Stripe receives billing data necessary to complete transactions.
- Email delivery — AWS SES (or configured SMTP) sends messages on our behalf.
- Hosting — infrastructure providers that host our servers under contractual safeguards.
We do not sell your personal information to advertisers.
5. Cookies & local storage
We use browser local storage for login tokens, theme preference, and session convenience. Third-party payment pages may set their own cookies when you checkout on Stripe.
6. Security
Passwords are stored hashed. API access uses signed tokens. Sensitive server configuration is kept off the public web root. No method of transmission is 100% secure; report concerns via Report a problem.
7. Your rights
You may request access, correction, or deletion of account data by contacting [email protected]. We may retain certain records where required for payments, disputes, or law.
8. Children
Studio is intended for business users (18+). We do not knowingly collect data from children.
9. Changes
We may update this policy; the “Last updated” date will change. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
